Are you the one who really waited for the Google Doodle Competition 2015? Here it is. Google launched officially the 7th Annual Google Doodle competition 2015 on Nov 3rd, 2014. The theme that was offered for this Google Doodle competition 2015 is “My Perfect Day”. The children who are going to participate in this Google Doodle competition 2015 use the Google logo as inspiration. By making that Google logo as inspiration the children who are participating in this Google Doodle competition 2015 can create their idea for the theme “My Perfect Day”.

At Google launch of Google Doodle Competition 2015, the Head of Google Ireland – John Herlihy shares the information that “We are really excited to see this year’s entries. ‘My perfect day’ is a fantastic theme that lets the imagination run wild and we can’t wait to see what a perfect day means to young people. It could be a picnic with the family, a trip into space, anything! Creativity and innovation are the driving forces behind everything we do at Google and the Doodle 4 Google competition is about encouraging those traits amongst children.”
From Scoil Carmel Junior National School, Kenny McCabe (8 year old) won overall award in last year for her wonderful creation entitle “My Adventure in the Jungle”. Kenny McCabe described her doodle as “The jungle is where you can find lots of exciting things, just like Google.”
The Judges for this year is announced which includes Irish and Leinster rugby star, Jamie Heaslip, legendary artist and TV presenter, Don Conroy, artist and IADT Dun Laoghaire lecturer, Cora Cummins and author and Creator and Executive Producer of Disney Junior’s animated series, Henry Hugglemonster. They are having the big task of selecting the 75 finalist from the thousands of competitors in the following categories (i.e.) in the following five categories, the judges need to select 15 from each of those categories for this Google Doodle competition 2015.
- Category 1 – Junior and Senior Infants.
- Category 2 – First and Second Class.
- Category 3 – Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Class.
- Category 4 – First, Second and Third Year.
- Category 5 – Fifth and Sixth year, Transaction year, Youth reach.
The doodles of 75 Finalist (selected from those judges) will showcase in the Doodle 4 Google Website. The general public can vote for their favorite doodle which is showcase in Doodle 4 Google Website. In each category, there will be winner is selected and that winner will move forward to the event of Grand Finale where the overall winner gets announced. The overall winner of Google Doodle competition 2015 gets €5,000 scholarship towards student’s third-level studies. Google doodle competition 2015 also offers the price to the overall winning student school of €10,000 technology grant. The winner of the each five category and their teachers will receive the price as Chromebooks.
So, Still why are you waiting for? The children across the country can take pens, pencils, paintbrushes, crayons etc and starts doodling. The Deadline for this Google Doodle Competition 2015 is Jan 9, 2015. For the first time, the Google Doodle competition is opened as online entries.
